
Magic Lantern is an open-source software developed for the Canon EOS series of digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras. It provides a variety of enhancements, including additional features and customization options that are not available on the camera’s stock firmware. It has been widely praised for its versatility, as it can be used to both improve existing features and add new ones. For instance, Magic Lantern can be used to improve image quality, increase shutter speed, adjust the metering system, enhance autofocus performance, and add fourth-generation digital signal processing (DSP) for video recording. In addition, it offers a variety of other features such as intervalometer, time-lapse recording, HDR bracketing, faux-tilt shift mode, motion detection and remote control capabilities.
